A different take on Blogs: In The coming of the blogs Baron Lowery talks about using blogs as ways to understand consumers and their feelings about a product. Product discussions on public blogs (I wonder how this differs from the good old bulletin boards) can provide a reading on the strengths and weaknesses of the product. Considering that the American culture is one dominated by consumerism, consumeristic interpretations of blog utility are not surprising. I wonder what the non-American take on blogs is. Have they thought of any interesting ways of looking at blogs? I wonder...
